Mount Ntringui, the highest peak on Anjouan Island in the Comoros, stands at 1,595 meters (5,233 feet) and is part of the Ntringui National Park. The mountain is covered in lush rainforests, volcanic landscapes, and diverse wildlife, including rare lemurs, fruit bats, and endemic bird species. The area also contains sacred crater lakes, such as Lake Dzialandzé, which provide fresh water to the island. Visitors can enjoy challenging hikes, panoramic views, and rich biodiversity. The best time to visit is May–November (dry season) for pleasant weather. Access is via Mutsamudu, the island’s capital, with guided treks available.
