Loango National Park, located on Gabon’s Atlantic coast, is known as "Africa’s Last Eden" due to its pristine beaches, rainforests, savannas, and lagoons. Covering 1,550 km², it is famous for surfing hippos, forest elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and western lowland gorillas, along with humpback whales and dolphins offshore. Visitors can enjoy wildlife safaris, boat trips, gorilla trekking, sport fishing, and beach walks. The best time to visit is June–September (dry season) for whales and December–March for land wildlife. Entry fees start at $20–$30 per person, and the park is accessible via a flight to Port-Gentil, followed by a boat or 4x4 transfer.
